FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION IS A VINTAGE BELIEVED TO BE FROM THE 1920’S – 1940’S CHICAGO CUBS WRIGLEY FIELD 14″ BY 11″ PORCELAIN TICKET SIGN. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND WAS ABLE TO FIND THIS SAME SIZE & SHAPE SIGN IN GABBY HARTNETT’S LOCKER (AT WRIGLEY FIELD IN THER TRIBUTE TO THE GREATEST CUBS PLAYERS OF ALL TIME) AS SEEN IN PICTURE 1. THIS IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO OWN A REALLY NEAT PIECE OF CHICAGO CUBS HISTORY. I BELIEVE THIS SIGN COULD HAVE BEEN HUNG OUTSIDE OF WRIGLEY FIELD IN THE 1930’S OR 1940’S OR MAYBE WAS MEANT TO HUNG BUT WAS NEVER USED. THIS WAS FOUND IN A ESTATE SALE NEAR CHICAGO AND ONLY A FEW OF THESE SIGNS HAVE BEEN SEEN OR FOUND. THIS SIGN IS HEAVY FOR ITS SIZE AND WEIGHTS OVER 2 POUNDS 14 OUNCES. THIS SIGN WAS FOUND IN A ESTATE SALE WITH SOME OTHER RARE ADVERTISING ITEMS, SPORTS STUFF & SIGNS IN THE CHICAGOLAND AREA. Please do your own research as vintage does not necessarily mean original. Note: I was left with a large advertising collection along with some that I have collected over the years & I also attend high end estate sales in the area.
