For sale here is a vintage Buffalo Rock Ginger Ale metal thermometer in excellent used condition. The colors are very vivid and the thermometer is original. There is a chip on the top and rubs and scratches that can be seen in my photos. The thermometer measures approximately 26 inches by 10 inches. The bottom is marked DONALDSON ART SIGN CO. Large Vintage NuIcy Pale Dry Ginger Ale Embossed Metal Sign. Condition is Used, fresh from the barn. This is a great addition to your advertising collection. If you have any questions or need more pictures, we will be happy to provide them. See photos for condition. Yes, these are authentic old signs. Signs are as is in the photos. We tore down and old milk house and the signs we have were evidently put on the roof to cover holes, then 2 layers of metal roofing went over the top of them. The signs also had a paper that was affixed to the front that we carefully washed off in order to get photos. So when I say fresh from the barn, that’s exactly where they came from. The barn is on our property that has been family owned since October 5th, 1935. I have posted one photo of the barn we tore down. We have a few other signs listed that are different from this onethat we found. Vintage 1950s Large 25 x 9 Buffalo Rock Ginger Ale Tin Metal Thermometer Sign

If you are a vintage sign collector, then you know that finding an old soda advertisement sign with a WORKING thermometer is pretty rare, but finding a Buffalo Rock one is close to impossible. This one in particular is is in great overall condition, with only some minor wear around the bottom of the sign. The colors are nice and bright, and the bottle and logo are unscathed, with only a minimal patina due to the age. Smaller soda companies didn’t have the advertising budget that the bigger names like Coke, Pepsi, and Crush had, so most of their signs were on average around 12 long. But this one measures out at a whopping 25 1/2″ x 9 5/8″ which makes it exceptionally rare, and the largest Buffalo Rock sign I’ve ever seen. If you are a soda sign collector, or a Birmingham AL collector, then you cannot pass this one up! DRINK VERNOR’S GINGER ALE 12 ROUND METAL THERMOMETER. THERE IS NO GLASS, THE THERMOMETER DOES NOT WORK ACCURATELY. WHEN IT’S INSIDE THE HOME THE TEMP. READS 80+ DEGREES, WHEN I TAKE IT OUTSIDE IT DOES INCREASE TO 90+ AND MOVES BUT NOT ACCURATELY. NOT SURE HOW TO ADJUST IT. THERE IS A SMALL DENT ON THE BOTTOM AND THE FACE HAS SOME MOVEMENT WHICH CAN BE EASILY FIXED. I USED A SMALL PIECE OF STYROFOAM TO KEEP IT STABLE FROM MOVEMENT, YOU CAN USE YOUR OWN IMAGINATION IF YOU DON’T LIKE MY FIX. IF YOUR LOOKING FOR AN ACCURATE THERMOMETER, YOU NEED TO LOOK ELSEWHERE. IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A COLORFUL VINTAGE PIECE TO HANG THIS IS A PERFECT ADDITION TO YOUR COLLECTION.
