THIS SIGN IS MADE OF HEAVY PORCELAIN AND WEIGHTS A WHOPPING 2 POUNDS, 13 OUNCES. NOT CHEAP TIN OR THIN METAL. THIS SIGN DOES SHOW SCRATCHES, EDGE WEAR, PATINA INCLUDING CHIPS, WEAR TO THE FINISH AND A LIGHT BOW THE THE COLORS AND GLOSS ARE AMAZING! THE BACK OF THE SIGN SHOWS LIGHT USE AND WEAR. THIS IS THE VERY THICK PORCELAIN VERSION WITH THE 1963 DATE THAT IS THE NICEST VERSION OF THIS SIGN IN MY OPINION AND IS MADE OF SUPER HEAVY PORCELAIN!
