Huge 12′ Vintage 1950s Firestone Tires Neon Lighted Porcelain Metal Gas Oil Sign

For your consideration a vintage 1950’s sign. The sign is made of metal with a porcelain finish. It is glass neon lit and the neon works. It operates on 120 volt and has a power cord and plug I will be adding a picture of it lit later as there is no power where I have it stored. The neon lights up red. It measures overall 144″ in length by 47″ in height. An excellent addition to any advertising collection or if you just want to own a really neat old sign. It is located in El Paso Illinois 61738. I can store the piece for as long as needed in a safe dry building at no extra charge as long as it is paid for. For your consideration a vintage 1950’s sign. The sign is made of metal and is double sided. The signs have a porcelain finish and are made to be neon lit. The glass neon tubes for the letters are missing. Each side has three porcelain panels that make up Chevrolet. The transformers look to be complete and the body of the sign is still in good condition. The porcelain signs are still in good condition and there is no touch up. They could use a good cleaning. It measures overall with the mounting brackets 45″ in depth by 285″ in height. The body with the porcelain signs measures 280 1/2″ in height by 34″ in depth by 14 1/2 in width. The hanging bracket on the top measures 42 across. I can store the sign for as long as needed as long as it is paid for. It is in Crawfordsville, Indiana zip code 47933. It originally hung in front of City Chevrolet in Chicago’s famous auto row. An excellent addition to any advertising collection or if you just want to own a really neat old sign and a great piece of history. It measures 6 1/2 inches deep by 13 1/2 inches tall with the mounting flanges and 47 inches long , has inner workings but need to be rewired and checked out. Shows areas of use and age , scratches and scrapes , dents and dings , color loss , fading , image loss , surface corrosion, stained , paint and drywall splatter.
