This is a Vintage Johnson Sea-Horse Outboard Motors Metal Sign Bagley, Minn. This is an extremely rare sign. It does have damage. The left side of the sign has a chunk missing as seen. The B and A of Bagley have been repainted. The O on outboard has been painted and slightly the U. The J and O on Johnson have also been painted back in. Anything to the left where the damage is has also been painted. The wing on the left has also been painted back on. Everything to the right is all original. This sign has been screwed to a board to make sure it is no longer damaged. Even though this sign does have damage and some painting it is a very rare and desirable sign. Check out my other listings! New Rustic Metal Letter N Light Marquee Sign Wall Decoration 24 Vintage READ

The back is made of some kind of tin metal. The front is plastic but has almost a rubbery feel to it. Its large but not real heavy, so it should hang pretty easy. Its got some holes in the back to screw onyo the dode of a barn or screw holes in the bottom yo screw onto a ledge. This is used and vintage so it’s scuffed-up and got a few minor dings on The metal. Looks like there was a crack in the red “cap”(see pic #3) but its been repaired and in no danger of worsening. It also cant be seen from the front and ita small so hardley noticeable at all. It’s missing all the screws that hold the red “cap” on, although it pops on there and stays on on its own accord. Lastly, the power cord has been ripped off and I don’t know what kind you’ll need. THIS SIGN IS AUTHENTIC… I ONLY SPEAK FOR MYSELF AND THE THINGS THAT I POST. THESE WORDS COME STRAIGHT FROM MY HEART… PLEASE READ ON AND FIND OUT HOW I CAME UPON BEING SO FORTUNATE AS TO OWN THIS “GEM”. “LEE RIDERS” VINTAGE METAL SIGN. ONCE IN A LIFETIME CHANCE TO OWN A PART OF “LEE”. USED BUT IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.. THIS SIGN IS SO PERFECT THAT IT IS HARD TO IMAGINE THE PRISTINE CONDITION IT IS IN FOR BEING OVER 50 YEARS OLD. ONE SLIGHT IMPERFECTION IN PAINT MISSING BELOW THE FRONT FOOT OF THE HORSE, SOMEWHAT OF A RUSTED AREA (AROUND THE OUTER RIM OF THE SIGN) AND THIS IS PICTURED AT TOP. ALSO JUST ADDED A PICTURE OF THE BACK OF THE SIGN TO SHOW THE AGE SPOTS OF HANGING ON THE WALLS AT THE LEE FACTORY OUTLET. My 2 sisters and I would go to Lancaster, Pa, that is where the Best antiques were. Now keep in mind that Reading, PA and Lancaster, Pa is only about 30 minutes from one/another. And so that is where we kept going back to. As all 3 of us approached the counter at the same timemy 2 sisters always bought the typical antiques, I was quite different. I walked up to the counter with a LEE RIDER VINTAGE METAL ADVERTISING SIGN. OMGthey both laughed at me. You see my sign was bought for the Log Home I always dreamed ofbut I never got. So this metal sign laid on a. For 40 years waiting for the day. Now to go back to that antique shopWhen the man heard my sisters laughing he politely told them that my choice was a good one. He said that they (the sign) are hard to comeby. He had my curiosity going and I asked if that is the case how would you come up with it. With Reading right around the corner we have the ability to know when clean outs happen and old things go and new things come (i guess because he knew us quite well he felt comfortable letting some of his secrets out). VERY NEAT VINTAGE GRAPETTE SODA THERMOMETER 1950s , IT MEASURES APPROX 4.5″ X 16.5″ AND IS A TIN EMBOSSED. NOT MINT CONDITION BUT NICE IT SHOWS WARE HAS SOME METAL DINGS AND SCRATCHES ON THE TOP SECTION BY THE MOUNTING HOLE. I HEVE TRIED TO FIND OUT MORE ABOUT THIS THERMOMENTER DUE TO IT IS MUCH DIFFERANT THAN OTHERS OF THE 1950s STYLE. MY THOUGHT IS THAT IT WAS PRINTED ON THE PLATE OF THE 1940s THERMOMETER. THE BOTTLE IS PLACED LOWER ON THE PLATE THAN OTHERS OF SAME STYLE AND THE ACTUAL THERMOMETER IS LOWER ON THE BOTTLE THAN OTHERS. THE ACTUAL THERMOMETER DOES WORK.
