FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION IS A VINTAGE 1956 “MOBIL MOBILGAS THE SIGN OF FRIENDLY SERVICE WITH PIN UP WOMAN AND PEGASUS GRAPHICS ” 11 3/4″ BY 11 3/4″ ROUND AND SUPER HEAVY (2 POUNDS, 9 OUNCES) PORCELAIN METAL COMIC BOOK, GASOLINE & OIL ADVERTISING SIGN. THIS SIGN HAS FANTASTIC GRAPHICS OF A FEMALE PIN UP MODEL HOLDING A GAS PUMP HANDLE WITH A PEGASUS IN THE BACKGROUND AND IS MARKED I. THIS SIGN DOES SHOW SOME WEAR INCLUDING CHIPS, EDGE WEAR, SCRAPES & PATINA AS WELL AS NEAR THE HOLES, AND TO THE RIM, BUT DISPLAYS VERY WELL WITH GORGEOUS GLOSS. THIS SIGN MEASURE 11 3/4 AND IS ROUND AND WEIGHTS A WHOPPING 2 POUNDS, 9 OUNCES AND IS MADE OF THICK PORCELAIN METAL NOT CHEAP TIN OR THIN METAL. Note: I was left with a large advertising collection along with some that I have collected over the years & I also attend high end estate sales in the area.
