Made to the exact 1957 standard from the origins of the Eisenhower interstate highway system. This design was supplanted by the modern shield style – often with the state name omitted! – in 1971, and it gets harder and harder to find the original-style interstate route markers in many states. This sign is flat printed on heavy gauge steel, with completely accurate layout and fonts. It weighs about 3 pounds, 2 ounces, and is 12 by 12 inches, faithfully rescaled from the originals for more convenient display.
