This is a Highway to the Stars vintage genuine porcelain sign and it is in excellent condition, with vibrant and rich colors just as it had when originally manufactured. STILL has a nice glossy shine as it is actual porcelain. A true collectible piece that displays beautifully. Minor chips in the outer field, as well as some moderate rusting around the mounting holes, as is to be expected from being displayed outside and hanging in the elements. Really, beautiful layers of porcelain. It is USED and was hanging being displayed outside. GORGEOUS ornate gold Hollywood Regency dresser mirror with sweet bird and flowers designed by Matson with the signature on the bottom. Measures roughly 10 1/2 tall. It would look beautiful with a vintage elegance decor! The mirror swivels with two sides:a regular mirror and a magnifying mirror on the reverse. The normal side is beveled. The mirrored glass has minor scratches and spots on both sides. One side has a small smudge on the lower portion of the mirror. The gold coloring varies throughout the piece commensurate with age/wear. I also have other Matson mirrors available as well as many other pieces. OTHER items listed separately! I CANT PACK IT BUT YOU CAN PAY SOMEONE TO DO IT. Rare, Vintage metal sign, almost 5′ for the HOTEL PADRE. The hotel was located at 1963 Cahuenga in HOLLYWOOD, CA. The building no longer a hotel. This building is on the registry for historical landmarks in California. Please review all 12 scans. Exact size is 56 or 4.67 ft It is not a thick sign but is very heavy. I would estimate 60-70lbs. How this sign survived the trash heap must be a story in itself! Because of the low price for rooms, it was not on the hotel for long which probably explains the good condition of the paint. I used to live very close to this hotel which is now beautifully remodeled. The condition of the paint is remarkable except for the rust spots around the holes. There are 8 approx 1 holes where the original nails were. The hotels motto (albiet for a short time) was “A room and a bath for a dollar and a half” during the American Depression era.
