What a killer piece! This is a bloomers required on the beach vintage genuine porcelain sign and it is in excellent condition, with vibrant and rich colors just as it had when originally manufactured. STILL has a nice glossy shine as it is actual porcelain. A true collectible piece that displays beautifully. Minor chips in the outer field, as well as some moderate rusting around the mounting holes, as is to be expected from being displayed outside and hanging in the elements. Really, beautiful layers of porcelain. It is USED and was hanging being displayed outside. Original “MOTEL OFFICE” Sign. 14″ H x 22″ W x 2 D. The original layer says “Authorized Fan Belt Service”. Top layer says: “Motel Office”. This is a great overpainted design that is original to the piece. This sign is heavy and was used (as is) for a motel. Originally painted over the top of another sign, this boasts excellent patina, wear and a layered effect that is very striking and cool. This was not something made to look old or designed after the fact for sale. This is a found object that happens to be two signs in one – the original and the one overpainted. Some rust and paint chipping but that makes this look even cooler. Side mount so it comes out perpendicular from a wall.
