Vintage Rare Gay Oil Co Metal sign auto gas With lighthouse 24in Little Rock AR

Here is a nice sign to add to the collection, the sign has the large wording of Gay Oils in the center. At the top right of the sign there is the light house graphic with the wording of Gay Gasoline and Gay Mobil Oil. Across the bottom of the sign there is the Really Lubricate! Gay Oils was based out of Little Rock Arkansas, and was started in the 1920’s and was owned by Thomas Gay. Being a smaller company, there is not much advertising from them, add this great sign to add to the collection, the sign has some paint ware and surface rust, overall still a nice sign to add to the collection. The sign measures about 24 inches wide and 14 inches tall. Vintage Sunoco Recommended Gasoline Grades Metal Advertising Sign 1955-1962 Rare

This sign came from a closed down Sunoco station. It closed down many years ago, and was cleaned out a year or so ago. I forgot I had this one. It is a large metal sign, that was probably mounted near the gas pumps. It is the recommended gasoline grade for each vehicle. The signs measures 19-1/2″ x 10″. It is flat and in excellent condition. There is a few spots of old red sticker residue in a few spots. It is very old and dried in place. I did pick some away, but it will take more work, maybe heat will help. This is a very hard to find pettit Marine paint tech paint center metal sign. It is 40.5 in long and 23.5 in tall. It does have some blemishes on it. Antique Iron Cemetery Sign Haven of Rest Haunted Hotel Ashland Alabama Rare

Up for sale: This is a unique 19th Century sign I received from a friend. He had it in his house for over 40 years. It came out of the Clairmont Springs Resort(see last picture) in Ashland Alabama. I’m not sure what cemetery it came out of or how long this was hanging in the resort as the resort was built in 1909. The hotel burned down in the 70’s and was known as one of the most haunted places in the south. Around the resort were several springs that were said to have healing elements. There was a train stop there and politicians and actors would stop in and stay the night. It’s also believed that Al Capone stayed there as well as he wrote about staying at a rural East Central Alabama hotel in his letters. The sign is made of iron. With raised letters and measures 4.5′ long and 19 wide. The iron is half an inch in thickness. Heavy and weighs close to 50 lbs. A really rare piece for a collector.
