Made to the exact state standard as devised in the early 1950s to resemble an open book; this sign style persisted until about 1975 when the more modern flat-bottom variant came into prevalence. As far as I know, none of these curved-bottom signs, featuring the classic Massachusetts highway sign font, remain in existence. If one should show up, it would command a price of several hundred or multiple thousands of dollars. Here is your chance to own an example of this style of sign, without breaking the bank. I can make any Massachusetts town or city name sign; inquire about your home town! The sign is flat printed on steel, with completely accurate layout and fonts. It weighs about 27 pounds, 2 ounces, and has been rescaled from the original 54 x 48 inch size to a much more wieldy 36 by 32. It is a non-reflective sign – perfect for indoor or outdoor display. This is a high quality, heavy steel sign. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality.
