Antique Vintage RARE SECURITY MILLS FEEDS metal SIGN Knoxville TN Tennessee
This sign was a road sign. It is metal only not porcelain and it is a flexible gauge of metal (it wobbles and bends). Road signs were double sided. This sign was in a barn and the better display side was against the wood. I have had this thinner tin like metal sign for around 15 years or so. I haven’t found anything like it and the history behind it as a company that was is in downtown Knoxville Tenn is interesting. The company closed operations in 1976 – I believe. Look closely at the photos. I don’t know how many – if any of these “Feeds” signs are still out there. I haven’t seen any while searching. Great item for a Knoxville business or for historical buffs.
