This piece has never even been hung! Really nice embossed metal for A multi dimensional look, really stands out as compared to a regular flat sign. Great piece, displays really well! Unique graphic content with vibrant colors, hard to find in this great of condition! Measures approximately: 29 X 7.5. Please note that you are purchasing a USED item, it is possible you will see signs of light rust or minor chipping of the porcelain around the edges. Vintage 1920’s Tower Root Beer Soda Pop Gas Station 19 Embossed Metal Sign

Embossed “Tower Root Beer” metal advertising sign from the Tower Root Beer Company and bottled by the Prospect Hill Bottling Co. The Tower Root Beer Company was founded in 1914 by Domenick Cusolito, an Italian immigrant. Even though the company moved to Charleston, Mass in the late 1930’s it remained mostly a regional company for its 50+ years. Tower Root Beer was unique and very popular because it had a touch of anise (licorice) taste to the root beer flavor. This old sign shows wear with scattered scratches and very small areas of litho loss (see photos) but the sign remains in very good displayable condition. The colors are sharp and the graphic image of the large Tower Root Beer bottle is fantastic. The embossed lettering at the bottom which reads “Like Mother used to make” adds to the attractiveness and quaintness of the sign. Circa 1920’s, early 1930’s, dimensions 19 1/4″ x 8 1/2″. Vintage Los Castillo’METALES CASADOS’ Handcrafted Eagle and Warrior Necklace

Vintage Los Castillo’METALES CASADOS’ Handcrafted Eagle and Warrior Necklace. Extremely Rare and Hard to Find. This huge and rae Los Castillo pendant necklace is a perfected expression of art in silver, brass, and copper with turquoise inlay. It is hallmarked “METALES CASADOS’ or “married metals. This was a technique named and developed by one of the greatest silversmiths in Taxco, Jorge Castillo Teran, nicknamed’El Maestro Chato. He used seven metals (nickel, gold, silver, copper, brass, alpaca, rex, and monel) in various combinations for the purpose of providing color in his brilliant creations. Mexican Jewelry Book author, Greta Pack noted: The skill needed for this work is astonishing, for which reason only a few craftsmen do it. The beautiful colors of this necklace displays a large eagle made of silver, copper, brass and nickel with malachite inlay. The defeated warrior with arrow raised is made of the same metals with bits of turquoise for the eye and helmet and ear. Both pieces are attached by rings. Two loops on the sides of the eagle’s tail feathers hold the hand-wrought mixed metal distinct chain seen on other Los Castillo pieces. It has a shepherds’ hook closure. This piece was made between the latter 1950s and 1960. Approximate Measurements taken at Widest Points. Necklace- 22″ x 3/8″. Pendant- 3.75″ x 3″. I have not cleaned this, but it could be polished to look new with little to no effort. Please view photographs for more detail. All photographs are of the actual item.
