Here is a great piece that you do not see often, rare to find. I have decided to sell it along with a few other pieces I have collected. The face of the sign has the awesome graphics of a Snowman semi melting. It has a working thermometer in tact as well. Here is a nice sign to add to the collection, pretty decent condition, with some paint ware and staining mostly on the bottom area, as seen in the photos it is a great piece for display. Georgia US Route 41 marker. Up for sale today is this US route 41 sign, from Georgia. Made to the exact 1926 federal standard, as used between then and about 1948 along this famous road. This particular section of the route runs for 387 mi. (623 km) across the entire state, from the Florida state line southeast of Lake Park in the southern-central part of Georgia to the Tennessee state line south of East Ridge, Tennessee in the northwest corner of the state. Along the way, it travels through Valdosta, Macon, Atlanta, and Dalton before the route continues on, all the way up to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. An original of these is very rare to find on the collector’s market; if and when you do, expect to pay many hundreds or even thousands of dollars. I can, of course, make this sign with any route or destination of your choice.
