Large Vintage Letter B Sign. Metal Construction Neon. Car Dealer Salvage

I have for sale a vintage signage of capital letter “B”. It is constructed of sturdy and lightweight metal. I believe it’s aluminum. Inside the letter is neon light tube, covered by clear lucite. The electrical connections are cut off. I believe it was in good working order before taken down. No guarantees that it will work. It was displayed at a local car dealership. It was a backlit sign, so that neon light bounced off the wall. On the top is a wether-faded sticker that says. The dimensions are: 16″ tall, 13″ wide, and 3.5 deep. Although bent, I will include the original wall mount screws. This sign has a high quality workmanship, crafted by true professionals. It will make a great display. Rare Vintage Purina Chows Metal Sign Farm Feed and Seed Cow, Pig Swine, Chicken

I have enjoyed owning this very rare Purina sign for nearly 30 years, but have downsized and no longer have room to display it. I have found some small collectibles that have miniature versions of this sign on them, including a tie clip or bar, that came out about 1959 or 1960. Purina also started using the phrase “Serving animal agriculture” in articles and ads at that time. That is why I have dated it accordingly. This is not a reproduction, and would be a great add to any collection! I would be interested to know if anybody has seen this sign before or has information about it. The sign is metal with a raised panel in the center for the animal heads. The edge is curved. The gold circle with “Serving Animal Agriculture” and the animal graphics, has been printed on, and you can feel the raised dots with your fingers. The background of the animal heads and the rest of the sign, is either a thick paint or an enamel, and is very smooth. Please see the pictures. The sign measures 19.5″ by 23.5″. It was probably cut a 20″ by 24″, but the rolled edge reduced it’s size. It is a thick metal, nothing flimsy about it. Don’t wait for the last day to contact me!
