Large Vintage Letter r Sign. Metal Construction Neon. Car Dealer Salvage
I have for sale a vintage signage of lowercase letter “r”. It is constructed of sturdy and lightweight metal. I believe it’s aluminum. Inside the letter is neon light tube, covered by clear lucite. The electrical connections are cut off. I believe it was in good working order before taken down. No guarantees that it will work. It was displayed at a local car dealership. It was a backlit sign, so that neon light bounced off the wall. On the top is a wether-faded sticker that says. The dimensions are: 11.5″ tall, 9.5″ wide, and 3.5 deep. Although bent, I will include the original wall mount screws. This sign has a high quality workmanship, crafted by true professionals. It will make a great display. Here is a great piece that you do not see often. The sign is all metal. I have decided to sell it along with a few other pieces I have collected. The sign has the iconic Cities Service, wording in the center, the bottom of the sign has the wording of 1 Mi. Here is a great large sign that has some bends, and paint ware, but overall a great sign for display. This sign measure 40 inches wide and 51 inches tall. Vintage 1950’s Coca Cola Fountain Service Metal 8ft Diner’s Menu Sign
We’ve bought a place in the country & as excited as we are, space & storage is a real concern. We’ve got some hard decisions to make. What stays & what goes? Definitely don’t have the room for all of our collections! Overall, I’d say it’s in good solid condition. It does have scratches, blemishes & spots of rust here & there, but not bad for a piece this old. Doesn’t effect the look of the sign, since the most charming part of the sign is still intact. It measures 17 1/2 High x 8ft Long. By approx 2 in depth. Check out the pictures because I’m counting on them to help with the description. These Diner Signs are rare! Especially one this complete….. They’ve been bought up by collectors years ago, & they’re in their private collections. This particular sign came from a diner in New Hampshire. Comes from a smoke free environment. I will only charge the actual amount that it cost to send it to you. If it ends up costing more than you paid, I will absorb the difference.
