US 666 covered all four of the Four Corners states, being extended from Colorado and New Mexico into Utah and Arizona over the years. In 2003, the number was changed to 491 because superstitious folks responded unfavorably to the number, calling it the Devil’s Highway. This sign is flat printed on heavy gauge steel, with completely accurate layout and fonts. It weighs about 32 pounds, 9 ounces, and is 42 by 36 inches, the largest of three sizes specified in the signage manual (the other sizes are 21×18 and 28×24). It is a non-reflective sign – perfect for ordinary display, indoors or outdoors. If you would like a different size version, please ask as I can certainly make one! Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection.
