The item displays nicely but shows plenty of wear and tear and patina, including scratches, scrapes, bends, dings, rust, dirt, etc. The glass tube is broken at the bottom and will need replacing. Vintage RARE Original “TEXACO” FIRE CHIEF 1947 Porcelain Metal Pump Sign. Vertical Porcelain Metal Pump Sign. Porcelain Design Front Side – White Porcelain On Back Side. Measures 12″ x 18″. This is original porcelain on heavy metal – No Tin Here! It is 100% authentic & has original porcelain on both sides, but the design is only on the front. Rear of the sign is white porcelain. Condition is as aged (see all detailed pictures), so this sign appears in great condition considering. The colors are bright as you can see. Full details are visible in pictures. Displayability Just As It Is. The pictures show clear details of this sign, and the color is very bright. It is certainly used, and has some rust around the edges, but does have the common pock marks you see on old porcelain, as you can easily see in the photos… Has been mounted at one time, but some curvature still remains.
