The revision of 1948 changed the design to what was essentially a yellow version of the modern sign. The familiar modern red-and-white sign was introduced in 1954. An original of these is very hard to come by. They were retired from the roads of the United States long ago, with most of them being destroyed and only a few examples circulating on the collector’s market. An original would easily run many hundreds or even thousands of dollars on the collector’s market. So here’s your chance to get your hands on a fantastic display piece… Without breaking the bank.
