Antique Vintage RARE SECURITY MILLS FEEDS metal SIGN Knoxville TN Tennessee

This sign was a road sign. It is metal only not porcelain and it is a flexible gauge of metal (it wobbles and bends). Road signs were double sided. This sign was in a barn and the better display side was against the wood. I have had this thinner tin like metal sign for around 15 years or so. I haven’t found anything like it and the history behind it as a company that was is in downtown Knoxville Tenn is interesting. The company closed operations in 1976 – I believe. Look closely at the photos. I don’t know how many – if any of these “Feeds” signs are still out there. I haven’t seen any while searching. Great item for a Knoxville business or for historical buffs. Antique School Zone/Crossing Guard 2-sided metal sign withstand vintage 1930-40’s

Rare vintage School crossing sign with a school girl in a red dress holding a sign which reads “School Zone”. The 2-sided red & black sign is lithographed on heavy gage sheet metal. The two sides flank a center post which is attach’d to a cast iron base. One side of the sign is in slightly better condition than the other- the best side is pict’d in photos 1-4. Pics 5-12 are of the other side. The sign is approx. 49.5″ tall and the base is a diameter of 15″. Contact Brian at the Pocatello Idaho “UPS Store”. I will deliver it to them for no additional cost. Antique Western Wheeled Scraper Road Grader This antique Western Wheeled Scraper Co. As you will see in the pictures it is missing a few things, top of the list would be the driver’s seat (brackets are there), also the gear and wheel to rotate the blade (it can still be moved by hand, and the spring loaded lock still works). The operators deck is gone (3 of the 4 brackets are still there) and it has been replaced with a piece of flat iron welded in, which will not allow the axle to side shift. There are other old repairs as you will also see – at the top of that list would be the ring gear is broken in two places, one of which is welded back together (this does not matter much since the ring gear is bolted in several place to the bull ring, which is solid). This is a medium size grader with a six foot mow board (which has a slight bend). Axles are 8′ 6″ center to center and the rear wheels are 6′ 8″ to the outside of the hubs. We are located near Webster City, Iowa. I can help with loading at this end, and the grader can be stored here for as long as necessary once paid for.
