Coca Cola Pause. Drink Large Metal Framed Sign Original Vintage 1939 Coke Soda
Drink large metal wood-framed sign, vintage 1939. Please see measurements at the bottom of this text body. The weight of this item is between 17 and 18 pounds. This sign features the extremely rare Pause… Drink slogan with the typical Coca-Cola logo. In the lower left is a 6oz. Bottle of Coca-Cola with a yellow circle in the background. Red and yellow colors are used throughout the sign with some, what was probably tin-silver originally. This sign is in used condition with lots of weathering and damage on it from being displayed for decades, creating a lot of character. There have been some touch-ups and small attempts at cleaning over the years. There is also some rust, dents, dings, scratches, and holes – hanging/framing and possibly BB bullet holes. There are some bends and folds throughout, as well as some brushed on black paint or oil in the top right corner. The sign is no longer bright, but has a dirty look to it. A wood frame has been added to it, although obviously several years old. The frame is assembled with phillips screws, and there is some minor separation on each corner.
