California One Way five sided cutout diecut highway road street sign 30×10

California One Way sign. Up for sale today is this California One Way highway sign. Made to the exact 1971 state specification that was in use until 2006, when California began using the (boring) federal standard one-way sign, which is identical, other than being on a rectangular blank. Nonetheless, the five-sided sign remains a familiar sight along California’s streets, and sometimes pops up elsewhere; a few examples exist in Las Vegas, for instance. I can also make a left-facing sign if desired. Just request “left arrow” in the personalization box at checkout! An original of these is very rare to find scrapped. Many of them have vanished from the back roads of California, replaced with the modern issue. The authorities know where the rest are supposed to be-on their posts, not in the trunk of your car. So here’s your chance to get your hands on a fantastic display piece… Without chancing legal trouble. The sign is 30 by 10 inches, and weighs 6 lb. This is a high quality, heavy steel sign. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection. This one will make even the most discerning collector stick their nose into the sign, as it looks that good from that close! Please do see my other auctions for quality California Interstate and US route markers! Would you like a number not seen here? Or perhaps a different style? I can of course make these signs with any route number of your choice, and not just this style, but older and newer ones, and even the classic mileage, direction, and city limit guide signs from the era. Anything you would like, made with unsurpassed quality right here in the good old US of A. Life doesn’t happen along the interstates. It’s against the law. Figure about 8 lb. The watermark and bear logo in the design preview will not appear on the actual sign. We have begun adding a watermark because we have had problems with other companies copying our artwork to make lesser-quality imitations. You will only get this high level of quality in design and materials from Signs by Jake.
