The signs were replaced by 1965-specification signs only in 1970, so the last of the 60s features this earlier format instead. An original of these is very rare to find scrapped. The CTA changes all of its routes in a 1990 renovation. The sign is made of metal and painted on the front. Would look great in a man cave or loft. Does have scratches and small dents from typical outdoor use. There is a cut in the metal on the “7”. Each corner has holes to mount. Back is painted gray and may have some additional maintenance related paint on edges. Measurements seen in photos. This is a consignment from an Elmhurst home.
