>Offered here is an old and original 1950’s George W. Helme Snuff Company TOPS MILD SCOTCH SNUFF sign! Please see all six photos, as they are an important part of my description. Fresh from a local estate, this scarce vintage tobacco sign is embossed metal and measures approximately 17 3/4″ x 11 3/4″. Colors present on the sign are yellow, maroon, cream and black. There are six mounting holes present (four corners, plus one each on the middle left/right edges). Outstanding graphics include the company’s “spinning top” logo… A very nifty piece of vintage tobacciana, most likely from the 1950’s but could be older! This sign has some rust along the edges and one side as well as minor flecks of rust from normal use in spots. It also has been screwed into a wood piece when mounted which is still attached. It also is a bit wavy due to it’s large size. Really rare to find one this large! However, it is not always possible to track. Traces of Original Red, white, blue & Yellow remain. Very weather worn which adds great character! This sign came from Durham, NC. I’m an AVID sign collector.
