Vintage Metal Sign

16 x 16 inch Massachusetts state route 10 highway marker. Made to the 1947 specification in which the state used aluminum – extremely prevalent at the time – and a variety of reflective materials before finally settling on wooden signs in 1949. Condition is as shown in the photos. Sign is embossed black highlights on silver paint on aluminum. It lies completely straight and flat with patina commensurate with its service. All Stimsonite plastic reflectors are intact and functional except one at the base of the’1′. Signs guaranteed old, original, authentic.
