Spokane Washington city limit 1930 road sign highway marker state cutout 36x24
Spokane, Washington city limit sign. Up for sale today is this Spokane city limit boundary sign, from Washington. Made to the exact state standards used in the 1930s, with the sign cut out in the shape of Washington. This incredibly cool idea was unique to the state of Washington, and as far as we know never copied by any other state. Eventually Washington shifted to merely printing the state outline on a rectangular blank, and then dispensing with it entirely. The population figure given is period-accurate to the 1930 U. Here is your chance to own a unique display piece to commemorate all the fun times you and your loved ones have had in this town, without breaking the bank. I can make this city limit sign for any city or town in Washington, or any other state. The sign is flat printed on steel, with completely accurate layout and fonts. It weighs about 17 lb. And is the size found on the roads into the city: 36 by 24 inches. If you would like a different size, city name, or population number, please do not hesitate to inquire. This is a high quality, heavy steel, non-reflective sign – perfect for indoor or outdoor display, with great gloss to replicate the old-school porcelain look. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection. This one will make even the most discerning collector stick their nose into the sign, as it looks that good from that close! I can of course make these signs with any route number of your choice, and not just this style, but older and newer ones, and even the classic mileage, direction, and city limit guide signs from bygone eras. Anything you would like, made with unsurpassed quality right here in the good old US of A, packed with care, and mailed from zip code 61833. Life doesn’t happen along the interstates. It’s against the law. Please note: The watermark and bear logo in the design preview will not appear on the actual sign. We have begun adding a watermark because we have had problems with other companies copying our artwork to make lesser-quality imitations. You will only get this high level of quality in design and materials from Signs by Jake.

Lewis & Clark National Forest guide sign. Up for sale today is this US Forest Service Lewis & Clark National Forest guide sign. Made to the exact standards as used from the 1910s to the 1930s by the US Forest Service to guide hikers along the trails, roads, and highways so they wouldn’t get lost and possibly eaten by bears. The signs were posted in the National Forests of all 50 states; this one is from Montana. The Lewis & Clark National Forest spans 2,912 sq. Of west central Montana, and is managed as two separate zones, the Jefferson Division and the Rocky Mountain Division. The Jefferson Division is mostly grass and shrublands. In this section, the landscape is dotted with fewer forested areas, which mostly occur in “island” pockets throughout that portion of the division. The Rocky Mountain Division, which straddles the Continental divide, has been designated a wilderness for much of the land area. Therefore, much of the management of this Division involves implementing and maintaining environmental preservation practices.
