This highway follows K-177 from Hollenberg Pony Express Station near Hanover (Washington County) to Elgin (Chautauqua County, on the Oklahoma line), through Council Grove and Cottonwood Falls. It encompasses the only remaining extensive tallgrass prairie in North America. An original of these is very rare to find scrapped; most of them enjoy their active service on the highway and the side streets. So here is your chance to own an excellent display piece, without chancing legal trouble. The sign is flat printed on heavy gauge steel, with completely accurate layout and fonts. It weighs about 5 pounds, 10 ounces, and is the original size: 15 by 15 inches. The signs in the field are larger: please inquire if you would like a different size.
