16 x 16 inch Massachusetts state route 10 highway marker. Made to the 1947 specification in which the state used aluminum – extremely prevalent at the time – and a variety of reflective materials before finally settling on wooden signs in 1949. Condition is as shown in the photos. Sign is embossed black highlights on silver paint on aluminum. It lies completely straight and flat with patina commensurate with its service. All Stimsonite plastic reflectors are intact and functional except one at the base of the’1′. Signs guaranteed old, original, authentic. 24 by 24 inch North Dakota state route 1 highway sign. The sign was made and installed in the 1990s or so. It is made by the state of North Dakota to the 1961 specification that was the last route marker to feature Chief Red Tomahawk. In 2016, the state did away with the classic Native American design and replaced it with a somewhat more boring map outline of the state. This is the classic heavy aluminum variant, 1/8 inch thick to ward against those heavy North Dakota winds! With screen printed number, and the correct silhouette of Chief Red Tomahawk. T he chief signs are getting harder and harder to find every day; they seem to have disappeared overnight from field us. Don’t miss your chance to get this awesome NUMBER ONE route marker! New York state route 22 highway road sign shield embossed 1950s 16 HDOS

16 by 18 inch New York state route 22 highway sign. The sign is made to the 1927 specification which is the earliest style of the classic diecut route marker. The sign was stamped out sometime between 1927 and 1955, and has the beaded reflective finish that began around 1951. The sign may have had glass cateye reflectors in the past; it is impossible to tell as both cateye and non-cateye signs were stamped out with the same dies that punched the holes – and the highway department refurbished the signs vigorously to save the taxpayers a buck or two. Condition is as shown in the photos. Sign is black roll-coated highlights on reflective white paint on embossed steel. It lies completely straight and flat, with patina commensurate with its service. 24 by 24 inch yellow diamond ROAD RIGHT caution sign. The sign is made to the 1948 federal standard which specified the new round font set, and a greater emphasis on words rather than pictures. This change would be undone, and reflectivity specified, by 1954, so this makes the sign conform to only a brief era of standard. Condition is as shown in the photos. Sign is black on yellow paint, on embossed steel. It lies completely straight and flat with original paint as seen in the photos. Patina is commensurate with its service. Route 91 Las Vegas mileage sign. Up for sale today is this US Route 91 Las Vegas combination route marker and mileage sign. This sign would have been found in California, somewhere in the Mojave Desert 63 miles from Las Vegas, Nevada. US 91 followed roughly the same path between Las Vegas and Southern California as I-15 does in the present day. Made to the exact standards used by the Auto Club of Southern California throughout their area of operations, which at their peak extended as far as Texas. The sign is flat printed on steel, with completely accurate layout and fonts. It weighs about 3 lb. And is 12 by 12 inches. If you would like a different size or route number, please do not hesitate to inquire. This is a high quality, heavy steel, non-reflective sign – perfect for indoor or outdoor display. This style was replaced with the modern black-border style starting around 2001. Condition is as shown in the photos. Sign is screen print on high intensity grade (honeycomb) sheeting on aluminum. 15.5 by 17.25 inch California state route 12 highway sign. The sign is made to the original 1934 state specification with no reflectors. The actual date code is sadly obliterated, but most of the original bear route shields were made during the first two years – 1934 and 1935 – as literally every route had to be signed. Condition is as shown in the photos. Sign is black on white porcelain, on steel. It lies almost completely straight and flat, and has patina commensurate with its service and then some possible mishandling at the dump site. It makes no sense to leave such a brilliant relic to the whims of the US Postal Service and their package-losing ways. Signs guaranteed old, original, authentic. New Mexico Pan American Central Highway road sign 1951 US route 85 Albuquerque

10 by 11 inch New Mexico highway sign. The sign is made to the 1951 specification which dedicated the Pan-American Highway in Texas and New Mexico, the central branch of which followed US-85 from Denver to Santa Fe to Albuquerque to Las Cruces to El Paso, and then US-80 and US-90 to San Antonio, and finally US-81 to Laredo before the road continued to Monterrey and Mexico City. This particular sign is from the initial 1951 signing of the route, and was found in the Truth or Consequences area in Sierra County. Condition is as shown in the photos. Sign is screen print on beaded Silver Scotchlite sheeting on half-inch thick wood. It lies completely straight and flat, with patina commensurate with its service.
