Navajo Trail route marker. Up for sale today is this Navajo Trail sign. Made to the exact standards as used along this famous highway. The Navajo Trail was dedicated in 1962, and ran from Flagstaff, Arizona to Holly, Colorado, much of it following the path of what is now US Route 160. Locations easy accessible from the route include the Grand Canyon, the Four Corners monument, and Mesa Verde. An original of these is very hard to come by. They were retired from the roads of the Four Corners states long ago, with most of them being destroyed and only a few examples circulating on the collector’s market. An original would easily run many hundreds or even thousands of dollars on the collector’s market. So here’s your chance to get your hands on a fantastic display piece… Without breaking the bank. The sign is 21 by 15 inches, and weighs 6 lb. This is a high quality, heavy steel sign. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection. This one will make even the most discerning collector stick their nose into the sign, as it looks that good from that close!
