Vintage Metal Stop Traffic Sign w/Cat Eye Glass Balls 1920s. Persons Majestic Mfg Co. Would make a great gift or keep it for yourself! What a beautiful vintage heavy metal with cast iron support beams here. The sign was made by Person Majestic Mfg. The company originally started making bicycles and their parts in 1892. Company is now know as Permaco and is in Huron, OH. This sign dates to the 1920s to 1930s. The sign still has the cat eye glass balls in place. Sign appears to have been repainted at some juncture. Me thinks the original stop signs were issued in yellow, like the back. No cracks or repairs to the sign. Very heavy gauge, no bent corners. There are four bolts in the middle of the sign that hold the cast iron struts in place. Those bolts and nuts are not original to the sign. The sign has all of the clear glass cat eye marbles in place. Show some scratching and wear and tear from the years. The letters for “Thru” and “Traffic” are raised on the sign. Some minor rusting in one spot at one corner on the back. Great embossed traffic sign here! The Persons Majestic Stop Sign is 24″ tall, by 24″ across, by 1/16 wide. Some spots of paint loss on t the piece from wear and tear over the years. Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures.
