This design was supplanted by the modern shield style-often with the state name omitted! -in 1971, and it gets harder and harder to find the original-style interstate route markers in many states. This sign is flat printed on heavy gauge steel, with completely accurate layout and fonts. It weighs about 2 lb. And is 12 by 10 inches. Vtg NOS 20s 30s Chicago Kansas City Highway Left Arrow Embossed Metal Sign 12. Antique/Vintage sign in excellent condition and shows only minor imperfections from storage, 1-2 scuffs or scratch can be seen. I removed the rice paper myself. Trace Rice paper glue haze can be seen after paper was removed, I have not tried to clean or do anything. Sign measure 12″ x 12″. See all photos for condition and measurements.
