California State Route 29 highway marker. Up for sale today is this California State Route 29 sign. Made to the exact 1964 standards from when California switched from white miner’s spade route markers to green ones. An updated version of this shield is still in use along the highways of California to the present day. An original of these is most likely to be found in active service along Route 29. The California Highway Patrol knows where they are supposed to be-on their posts, not in the trunk of your car. So here’s your chance to get your hands on a fantastic display piece… Without chancing legal trouble. The sign is 17 by 18 inches, and weighs 6 lb. This is a high quality, heavy steel sign. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection. This one will make even the most discerning collector stick their nose into the sign, as it looks that good from that close!
