The wider shields came with the revision of 1961-previously, three-digit route markers were the same size as two-digit, but with narrower numerals. This design was supplanted by the modern shield style-often with the state name omitted! -in 1971, and it gets harder and harder to find the original-style interstate route markers in many states. This sign is flat printed on heavy gauge steel, with completely accurate layout and fonts. It weighs about 7 lb. And is 21 by 18 inches. It is a non-reflective sign-perfect for ordinary display, indoors or outdoors. If you would like a different size version, please ask as I can certainly make one! Original Kum&Go Sign from the Gas Pump

This is an original Kum&Go sign from the gas pumps. It still has a lock on the back that can only be twisted with the key. It was originally on the gas pump at the bottom where gas companies usually put their company name. I worked at Kum&Go for about 3 years, as they were getting rid of all their signs from everywhere when they got bought out by Maverick, they allowed the employees to take whatever they wanted since it was all getting destroyed.
