FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION IS A VINTAGE “NEW IOWA HAWKEYE AUTHORIZED DEALER DIE-CUT CAR BATTERY” WHICH BECAME A GENERAL MOTORS AC DELCO COMPANY 19″ BY 16″ HEAVY (OVER 2 POUNDS) METAL ADVERTISING SIGN. THIS SIGN HAS FANTASTIC GRAPHICS OF THE VERY RARE & HARD TO FIND HAWKEYE AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR BATTERIES. IF YOU DON’T KNOW ABOUT HAWKEYE ITS PROBABLY BECAUSE THEY WERE STARTED BY AN IOWA STATE HAWKEYE STUDENT IN IOWA AND BOUGHT OUT BY GENERAL MOTORS AND AC DELCO BACK IN THE 1960’S. THESE SIGNS WERE FOUND IN A STORAGE LOCKER ALL WRAPPED UP WITH 20 TOTAL BATTERY SIGNS. THIS SIGN IS A REALLY NEAT SHAPE AND SIZE AND LOOKS LIKE A CAR BATTERY WHEN HUNG UP ON THE WALL. THIS SIGN IS MADE OF A HEAVY GAGUE METAL AND LOOKS LIKE A LARGE 3-DIMENSIONAL BATTERY WHN HUNG ON THE WALL. THIS SIGN STILL HAS ALL 6 ORIGINAL SILVER SPLIT BACK GROMMETS IN-TACKED AND IS READY TO HANG. THIS SIGN MEASURE 19″ BY 16″ AND IS BATTERY SHAPED AND DIE-CUT AND WEIGHTS OVER 2 POUNDS AND IS MADE OF METAL. ANYTHING HAVING TO DO WITH CAR BATTERIES AND GENERAL MOTORS OR AC DELCO IS GETTING HARDER & HARDER TO FIND. THE BACK OF THE SIGN IS GREY AND IS IN NICE SHAPE. SKU # SHED HAWKEYE.

Vintage metal sign, WOLF’S HEAD MOTOR OIL Finest Of The Fine Since 1879 slogan, large and heavy (almost like porcelain) double sided picturing the stylized wolf, in n-mint unused new old stock condition. Very nice sign, guaranteed to be an original. Couple of scratches at the mounting holes. Overall displays fantastic with great color and shine. Size is 23″ x 30″. Pictures show both sides and a close up of the sign company mark. All of the items I sell are guaranteed to be 100% authentic and original. They are all clean and ready for display.
