This standard supplants the original 1927-style route marker, which featured the Native American whirling logs symbol. Unfortunately, said symbol looks just like a particular emblem of an onerous German regime, so the highway signs were quickly revised after World War II broke out. Or the name of the regime. Y’all can figure it out. An original of these is very rare to find scrapped. Most of them have vanished from the back roads of Arizona many years ago, replaced with the modern issue. So here is your chance to own an excellent display piece, without paying an arm and a leg on the collector’s market. The sign is 15 by 18 inches, and weighs 6 lb.
