New York City Arthur Avenue East 181 humpback 1910 street sign 22X12
New York City Manhattan Manida Street, Garrison Avenue sign. Up for sale today is this New York City E. 181st Street sign, which faces Arthur Avenue. The sign is made to the 1910s specification used by the city to designate this famous street of Little Italy of New York in the Bronx. This is the last style of porcelain sign before retroreflective signage, unfortunately not in the distinct shape any longer, were introduced in 1950s. Take this opportunity to show your love for New York and own a piece of roadside history all in one! I can of course make any street, any block number, found anywhere in the Big Apple, and everywhere else too! An original of these is very rare to find scrapped; they have long since been retired from service. So here is your chance to own an excellent display piece, without chancing legal trouble. The sign is flat printed on steel, with completely accurate layout and fonts. It weighs about 5 lb. And is 22 by 12 inches. If you would like a different size or route number, please do not hesitate to inquire. This is a high quality, heavy steel, non-reflective remake sign – perfect for indoor or outdoor display, and very much reminiscent of the classic porcelain appearance of the original signs. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection. This one will make even the most discerning collector stick their nose into the sign, as it looks that good from that close! I can of course make these signs with any street name of your choice, and not just this style, but older and newer ones, and even the classic mileage, direction, and city limit guide signs from bygone eras. Anything you would like, made with unsurpassed quality right here in the good old US of A. Life doesn’t happen along the interstates. It’s against the law. Please note: The watermark and bear logo in the design preview will not appear on the actual sign. We have begun adding a watermark because we have had problems with other companies copying our artwork to make lesser-quality imitations. You will only get this high level of quality in design and materials from Signs by Jake. Figure about 7 lb.
