Vintage 60’s metal Chicago Metra South Shore Train Station Sign 57th Street. The owner of these was able to grab this when the CTA started rebranding and changing the route, before 1990. The CTA changes all of its routes in a 1990 renovation. The sign is made of metal and painted on the front. Would look great in a man cave or loft. Does have scratches and small dents from typical outdoor use. There is a cut in the metal on the “7”. Each corner has holes to mount. Back is painted gray and may have some additional maintenance related paint on edges. Measurements seen in photos. This is a consignment from an Elmhurst home. New York state highway 8 small CITY ROUTE road sign shield embossed 11x13 1930s

10 1/2 by 13 inch New York state route 8 highway sign. The sign is made to the 1927 specification which is the earliest style of the classic diecut route marker. The sign was stamped out sometime between 1927 and 1955, and has the beaded reflective finish that began around 1951. This is the smaller-size variant that was intended for lower speed city-route applications. Condition is as shown in the photos. Sign is black roll-coated highlights on reflective white paint on embossed steel. It lies completely straight and flat, and has been restored to the correct colors and finish.
