This is a vintage Southwestern sterling silver (marked) large barrette. There is an oval, 14.3 mm by 8.2 mm turquoise with gray matrix in the center. The barrette is 3 5/8 inches long by 1 inch high, and weighs 21.5 grams (note: that includes the barrette mechanism, which is not sterling).
