Texas Wildlife Refuge sign state game fish oyster commission quail federal 31×26
Texas Wildlife Refuge marker with quail. Up for sale today is this classic Texas Wildlife Refuge sign, with the quail. Made to the exact 1930s state specification. An original of these, with black on yellow porcelain, is very rare to find scrapped. It would go for many hundreds of dollars on the collector’s market. So here is your chance to own an excellent display piece, at a fraction of the cost. Printed on steel with great gloss to replicate the old-school porcelain look, this sign is made to the highest standards of quality. The sign is 31 by 26 inches, and weighs 18 lb. The sign is very similar to the federal wildlife refuge sign with the goose (which may be found in my other auctions), but with different colors and a different depicted species. This is a high quality, heavy steel sign. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection. This one will make even the most discerning collector stick their nose into the sign, as it looks that good from that close! Please do see my other auctions for quality Texas Interstate and US route markers! Please see my auctions for other high-quality signs, and I can also make just about anything custom per your request: route markers, the classic mileage, direction, and city limit guide signs from the era, and more! Anything you would like, made with unsurpassed quality right here in the good old US of A. Life doesn’t happen along the interstates. It’s against the law. Figure about 20 lb. The watermark and bear logo in the design preview will not appear on the actual sign. We have begun adding a watermark because we have had problems with other companies copying our artwork to make lesser-quality imitations. You will only get this high level of quality in design and materials from Signs by Jake.
