FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION IS A VINTAGE “SMOKEY THE BEAR FOREST FIRE PREVENTION” DIE-CUT 12″ BY 5.5″ BAKED METAL GASOLINE & OIL ADVERTISING SIGN. THIS SIGN IS IN BEAUTIFUL CONDITION WITH VERY NICE COLOR, GLOSS AND SUBJECT MATTER. THIS SIGN WAS FOUND IN A LARGE ADVERTISING COLLECTION. THIS SIGN MEASURE 12″ BY 5.5″ AND WEIGHTS OVER 15 OUNCES AND IS MADE OF REAL BAKED METAL. THIS HAS GREAT COLORS AND GRAPHICS AND IS A GREAT PIECE OF ADVERTISING. Please do your own research as vintage does not necessarily mean original. Note: I was left with a large advertising collection along with some that I have collected over the years & I also attend high end estate sales in the area. THIS SIGN HAS FANTASTIC GRAPHICS OF THE VERY NEAT AND SELDOM SEEN SMOKEY THE BEAR WITH AWESOME COLORS AND A 1951 U. FOREST SERVICE DEPARTMENT AGRICULTURE. THIS IS A USED SIGN AND SHOWS LIGHT WEAR & USE BUT DISPLAYS WELL WITH GORGEOUS GRAPHICS AND GLOSS. Vintage Smokey The Bear Metal Forest Service Sign Very Large Over 7′ Tall

Please note – I have no knowledge of it’s age (though I believe it may be from the 1950’s or 1960’s) or it’s history. Dimensions: 59.5″ at its widest (the base) x 89″ at its tallest (tip of his hat). It is approximately 1/16 thick. A magnet does not stick so I believe it is either stainless steel or aluminum. The colors / paint is very faded. There are approximately 15 holes in various areas from it being bolted to a post or frame. It has scuffs, scratches, nicks/dings, a bend at the base, etc. Please see pictures to review style and condition.
