Virginia Interstate 666 highway route sign 1961 spooky devil 28x24
Virginia Interstate 666 route marker. Up for sale today is this Virginia Interstate 666 route sign. There will likely never be a real Interstate numbered 666-high incidence of sign theft on the former US 666 have dissuaded highway officials from ever creating one-but if one did exist, geography and Interstate numbering rules dictate it would be in northern Virginia, where I-66 can be found. This sign is made to the exact 1961 standard from the origins of the Eisenhower interstate highway system. The wider shields came with the revision of 1961-previously, three-digit route markers were the same size as two-digit, but with narrower numerals. This design was supplanted by the modern shield style-often with the state name omitted! -in 1971, and it gets harder and harder to find the original-style interstate route markers in many states. This sign is flat printed on heavy gauge steel, with completely accurate layout and fonts. It weighs about 13 lb. And is 28 by 24 inches. It is a non-reflective sign-perfect for ordinary display, indoors or outdoors. If you would like a different size version, please ask as I can certainly make one! This is a high quality, heavy steel sign. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection. This one will make even the most discerning collector stick their nose into the sign, as it looks that good from that close! Please do see my other auctions for quality Virginia US and state route markers! Would you like a number not seen here? Or perhaps a different style? I can of course make these signs with any route number of your choice, and not just this style, but older and newer ones, and even the classic mileage, direction, and city limit guide signs from the era. Anything you would like, made with unsurpassed quality right here in the good old US of A. Life doesn’t happen along the interstates. It’s against the law. Figure about 13 lb.

Kansas K-400 route marker. Up for sale today is this K-400 route marker, from Kansas. Made to the exact state standard as used along the roads of Kansas, as used between 1962 and 1978. K-400 is a fictional route, based on the very real (and oddly-named) U. Route 400, which spans the entire state and only crosses into the neighboring states of Colorado and Missouri for very short segments. 400, according to the conventions of the United States Route numbering system, should designate a branch from U. Route 0, which does not exist. We decided to make a beautiful sunflower K-route version to show what it might look like if it were just a few miles shorter and fully contained within The Sunflower State. I can, of course, make this sign with any route or destination of your choice. I can make any destination sign; inquire about your home town! The sign is flat printed on steel, with completely accurate layout and fonts. It weighs about 14 lb. And is 24 by 24 inches. I-75/I-85, Atlanta guide sign. Up for sale today is this Georgia freeway guide sign for I-75/I-85 to Atlanta. Made to the exact 1990s state standards, complete with the unique “Georgia D” font that was used only by the state of Georgia on its freeways.
