FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION IS A VINTAGE 1940 “MOBIL MOBILOIL WITH FLYING RED PEGASUS HORSE” 11 3/4″ BY 11 3/4″ HEAVY (OVER 2 POUNDS, 2 OUNCES) PORCELAIN METAL SHIELD SHAPED GASOLINE & OIL PUMP PLATE ADVERTISING SIGN. THIS SIGN HAS FANTASTIC GRAPHICS OF THE FLYING RED PEGASUS HORSE AND IS MARKED: I. THIS SIGN SHOWS ONLY VERY LIGHT WEAR AND DISPLAYS WELL WITH GREAT GLOSS AND A GORGEOUS PEGASUS. THIS SIGN IS MADE OF THICK PORCELAIN (NOT CHEAP TIN OR THIN METAL). Please do your own research as vintage does not necessarily mean original. Note: I was left with a large advertising collection along with some that I have collected over the years & I also attend high end estate sales in the area.
