24 by 24 inch Tennessee state secondary route 14 highway sign. The sign is made to the 1971 specification which introduced this specific style of triangular route marker – the primary routes received a new style of route marker in 1982 (the state map at the bottom), while the secondaries have retained this design. This particular sign is of recent manufacture, and is retired from highway service. Condition is as shown in the photos. Sign is screen print on modern prismatic reflective sheeting on aluminum. It lies completely straight and flat, with patina commensurate with its service. Signs guaranteed old, original, authentic.

16 1/2 by 16 inch Illinois US route 45 highway marker. Made to the 1957 specification that Illinois had for a few years with the absence of the letters US to accommodate larger numerals. The spec was overruled by the feds in 1961 and US was put back. Condition is as shown in the photos. Sign is black screen print on smooth yellow Engineer Grade Scotchlite reflective sheeting on steel. It lies completely straight and flat and has patina commensurate with its service. Signs guaranteed old original authentic.

24 by 24 inch Michigan route 99 highway marker. Made to the 1948 specification that introduced the flat diamond-shaped signs that were used until approximately 1969. Condition is as shown in the photos. Sign is black screen print on engineer grade reflective sheeting, on aluminum. It lies completely straight and flat and has patina commensurate with its service. 10 1/2 by 13 inch New York state route 8 highway sign. The sign is made to the 1927 specification which is the earliest style of the classic diecut route marker. The sign was stamped out sometime between 1927 and 1955, and has the beaded reflective finish that began around 1951. This is the smaller-size variant that was intended for lower speed city-route applications. Condition is as shown in the photos. Sign is black roll-coated highlights on reflective white paint on embossed steel. It lies completely straight and flat, and has been restored to the correct colors and finish. Arizona Interstate 17 route marker. Up for sale today is this Arizona Interstate 17 route sign. Made to the exact 1957 standard from the origins of the Eisenhower interstate highway system. This design was supplanted by the modern shield style-often with the state name omitted! In 1971, and it gets harder and harder to find the original-style interstate route markers in many states. This sign is flat printed on heavy gauge steel, with completely accurate layout and fonts. It weighs about 11 lb. And is 24 by 24 inches. It is a non-reflective sign-perfect for ordinary display, indoors or outdoors. If you would like a different size version, please ask as I can certainly make one! This is a high quality, heavy steel sign. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection. This one will make even the most discerning collector stick their nose into the sign, as it looks that good from that close!
