This route was originally much longer than it is today. When this sign would have been posted on the roads, the route went from the New Mexico state line, through the entire state of Texas, to the border with Louisiana. Now it starts in Dallas and runs east to the Louisiana state line. An original of these is very rare to find on the collector’s market; if and when you do, expect to pay many hundreds or even thousands of dollars. I can, of course, make this sign with any route or destination of your choice.
