Shepard Highway was dedicated upon the completion of Interstate 93 in 1977. This 26.2-mile stretch of Interstate was chosen to honor the first American in space because it passes Derry, New Hampshire, Shepard’s hometown. An original of these is most likely to be found in active service along Interstate 93 in New Hampshire. The authorities know where they are supposed to be-on their posts, not in the trunk of your car. So here’s your chance to get your hands on a fantastic display piece… Without chancing legal trouble. The sign is 18 by 15 inches, and weighs 6 lb. This is a high quality, non-reflective replica sign printed on heavy steel. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection.
