The Lewis and Clark Trail, managed by the Park Service, follows the two explorers’ route across the continent: from Pennsylvania down the Ohio River to St. Louis, then up the Missouri River to Montana, then across Idaho to the Columbia River to the Pacific Ocean. An original of these is most likely to be found in active service along the Lewis and Clark Trail. The authorities know where they are supposed to be-on their posts, not in the trunk of your car. So here’s your chance to get your hands on a fantastic display piece… Without chancing legal trouble. The sign is 20 by 16 inches, and weighs 8 lb. This is a high quality, heavy steel sign. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality.
