Made to the exact 1956 state standard, as used between then and the early 1960s along this famous highway. Unfortunately, the designation was dropped when Yukon refused to renumber their segment of the Alcan from route 1. An original of these is very hard to come by. Very few were made, and they were only in place for a few years very long ago. An original would easily run many hundreds or even thousands of dollars on the collector’s market. So here’s your chance to get your hands on a fantastic display piece… Without chancing legal trouble. The sign is 16 by 16 inches, and weighs 5 lb. This is a high quality, heavy steel sign. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection.
