16 by 16 inch Pennsylvania state route 345 highway sign. The sign is made to the 1926 specification which is the earliest style of the classic 16 diecut keystone. This variant is embossed, and has the word ROUTE up top: they changed to PENNA in 1940 to match the new Penna Turnpike signage. Complete with the official keystone stamp of the Pennsylvania Road Department at lower right. Condition is as shown in the photos. Sign is black roll-coated highlights on white paint on embossed steel. It lies completely straight and flat, with patina commensurate with its service. Signs guaranteed old, original, authentic.
