30 by 24 inch Pennsylvania US route 222 highway sign. The sign is made to the 1965 specification which introduced the wide route markers for three-digit numbers (the standard was adopted federally in 1971 and is now prevalent in most states). This particular sign is of 2007 manufacture, and is retired from highway service. Awesome triple two route number. Condition is as shown in the photos. Sign is screen print on high intensity (honeycomb) sheeting on aluminum. It lies completely straight and flat, with patina commensurate with its service. Signs guaranteed old, original, authentic.
