Vtg Signed Curtis Jere Wash Day in Capri Welded Metal Village 53 Wall Sculpture
Vintage welded metal wall sculpture by Curtis Jere. It shows a European village scene with laundry hanging from the windows, I’ve seen this one on-line with the title Wash Day in Capri. It’s a complicated structure with multiple buildings, corrugated tile roofs, bell tower, staircases, cafe tables & umbrellas, and screen mesh trees. There are daubs of color with red, blue, white and yellow details. The metal surface has an old weathered patina. It is signed on the back with a C. Jere metal tag and has a black signature on the front on the lower right corner of the last building on the right. It’s about 53″ long x 29″ tall. It weighs about 17 pounds. It is structurally sound and can be hung. It’s missing three elements that I know of, 2 mesh trees, 1 on the far left and 1 on the top of the steps center bottom, and the corrugated roof tile and chimney on the left most tower (I circled the areas in green on the last pic). I don’t know if anything else is missing. The bottom steps and patio section might be a little bent or shifted. The trees have minor bends. The metal surfaces are old and crusty. It’s dusty in the hard to reach areas. The pictures are an important part of the description, please check them out.
